We want to dress up! We hope you do, too.

Here are some general guidelines for each event.

The church ceremony & dinner reception in Los Angeles on Tuesday call for semi-formal attire. To us, this means slightly more conservative cocktail attire.

The rehearsal dinner Thursday (wedding party only) calls for cocktail attire—your vineyard best!

For the welcome cocktail party on Friday, we are asking that you wear what we are calling “Garden Party” attire: this is basically outdoor-friendly cocktail attire — colors welcome!

For the Saturday ceremony & reception, we’re going black tie! Tuxes & long dresses, please.

It’s California in the summer, though, so do prioritize your comfort! During the day the temperatures average mid-to-high seventies, and at night things cool down to the high sixties.

And for the farewell brunch, we hope you roll out of bed in whatever suits you!

COVID Protocols

 

We don’t know what the world will look like in August…

But we certainly hope we will all be able to celebrate together maskless and fear-free! We will keep you updated about any changes to California COVID protocols for large events. Most of these events are outdoors, so we’re not too worried!

  • Summer in Southern California is a busy time! Thankfully, there are dozens of great hotels in Santa Barbara County, which is a short drive from Montecito. Some other recommendations are the Kimpton Canary, the Hyatt Mar Monte, the Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort, the Harbor View Inn, and the Hotel Milo. The only downside to staying in Santa Barbara is that it can be difficult to get Ubers or Lyfts to Montecito, so please keep this in mind when planning.

  • Our venues have very limited parking, and we want to make travel as easy as possible for our guests.

    Shuttles to and from downtown Montecito will be provided for each event with the exception of the farewell brunch.

    For Thursday, August 4th’s rehearsal dinner, (again, wedding party only!), please meet our shuttle in front of the Montecito Inn at 4:30pm. If you’re early, please meet us in Coast & Olive for an aperitif!

    For the welcome cocktail party on Friday, August 5th, please again look for shuttle service from the front of the Montecito Inn. There will be several trips up to Lotusland from there between 4 and 5:30pm.

    On Saturday, August 6th, please again meet us for shuttle trips at 3:30pm. The ceremony starts at 4pm.

    For all of these events, we highly encourage you to Uber, Lyft, or take a local taxi into downtown Montecito so that you don’t have to worry about parking (or finding a designated driver!). Please budget plenty of time for ridesharing apps, as we’ve found them to be quite slow in this area!

    If you’d prefer to drive, you can find street parking up and down Coast Village Road and its side streets.

    THE BEST PUBLIC LOT IS THE VONS LOT located at 1040 Coast Village Rd. in Montecito.

    Parking is also available for guests staying at the Coast Village Inn and the Montecito Inn.

  • Whatever you want it to be! Ideally, tuxedos for the gentlemen, and long gowns or tea length dresses for the ladies. Again, we know it’s summertime in California, which means hot during the day and cool at night. Ask us if you’d like further clarification! This New York Times guide may be helpful.

  • Unless we addressed your invitation to you as well as your significant other, our assumption is that only you will be attending. Our venue has very limited seating and we are currently at capacity. However, please feel free to reach out if you would like to inquire about including a plus one.

  • We’d love to see your kids at the Welcome Party at Lotusland and the Farewell Brunch!

  • We’ve got several guests with young children, and we’d like to help as best we can. We’re looking to organize a babysitting pool onsite at San Ysidro Ranch for the wedding day & night. Please email us for more information.
